Leading Together
Charles and Susan’s partnership in ministry is rooted in their complementary strengths. Where Charles brings theological depth and biblical teaching, Susan brings relational connection and pastoral care. Where Charles casts vision, Susan creates the spaces where people belong. Together, they embody Simply Grace’s core value: imperfect people serving a perfect God.
What makes them unique? They don’t lead from a pedestal, they lead from the pews. You’ll find them helping with setting up for an event, greeting visitors in the gathering cafe, meeting members for coffee, and staying late to talk through life’s hardest questions. They don’t just pastor Simply Grace; they’re part of Simply Grace.
Why Simply Grace?
After years of ministry, Charles and Susan felt God calling them to plant a different kind of church, one where people could encounter grace without pretense. They envisioned a place where “Welcome Home” wasn’t just a greeting but a reality, where messy faith was celebrated, and where everybody truly is somebody.
Ask them what they’re most proud of at Simply Grace, and they won’t mention attendance numbers or building projects. They’ll tell you about lives that have been changed, the skeptic who encountered Jesus, the hurting person who found healing, the family that found hope. That’s what it’s all about for them. Jesus transforming hearts. Everything else is just details.
