Pastors Charles and Susan Pettis lead Simply Grace with a beautiful partnership built on decades of ministry experience, complementary gifts, and a shared passion for loving God’s people well. Pastor Charles brings a heart for biblical teaching and a gift for making Scripture come alive in everyday life. His messages are known for being practical, relatable, and deeply rooted in God’s Word.   Charles believes the local church is God’s plan for transformation in our communities. He’s passionate about equipping believers to live out their faith at home, at work, and in every relationship.

Pastor Susan serves alongside Charles with grace, wisdom, and a heart for women’s ministry and pastoral care. Her compassionate leadership has created a culture of authenticity and belonging at Simply Grace. Susan believes in the power of community and connection. She’s passionate about helping women discover their identity in Christ and supporting families as they navigate life’s joys and challenges. 
 

Why Simply Grace?

After years of ministry, Charles and Susan felt God calling them to plant a different kind of church, one where people could encounter grace without pretense. They envisioned a place where “Welcome Home” wasn’t just a greeting but a reality, where messy faith was celebrated, and where everybody truly is somebody.

Ask them what they’re most proud of at Simply Grace, and they won’t mention attendance numbers or building projects. They’ll tell you about lives that have been changed, the skeptic who encountered Jesus, the hurting person who found healing, the family that found hope. That’s what it’s all about for them. Jesus transforming hearts. Everything else is just details. 

Their favorite thing to say to newcomers? “Welcome home. We’re so glad you’re here.”
